Croquet

The Bald Head Island Club offers three beautifully manicured courts known as “Greenswards”’ and a pavilion for player use. Situated adjacent to the South Beach shoreline, the courts enjoy the sea breezes throughout the summer and a temperate climate allowing for year-round play.

Private lessons, clinics and coached games are available throughout the year. The Recreation Department maintains a supply of mallets and balls in the “Turtle’s Den” for those who are just starting to learn the game.

The Croquet Club organizes member scramblers and tournaments that are played throughout the year, along with monthly socials. They also offer open play on Sunday for any Club member who cares to join them for some casual coaching.
